Printed Cinema lives at the intersection of film and design. Part criticism, part art school, this is a place where I can lean into my passion for how the visual elements around movie marketing make an impact. From posters to physical media, nothing is really off limits. There will be deep dives, personal stories, and maybe even some interviews. I’ll also surely get into the weeds about the nerdy things I love, like production processes and the art style of Blu-ray distributors.
Even if you’re not a graphic designer or cinephile, I think there’s something here for you so I hope you’ll subscribe.
About Me
I am a life-long film fan. Seriously, my very first memory is seeing Star Wars on a big screen. I’m also a graphic designer who primarily focuses on books. I work as a Senior Designer at Macmillan, one of the world’s biggest publishers. I also write occasionally, and my work has appeared in places like McSweeney’s, and Tablet, the now-defunct alt-weekly paper in Seattle, where my primary focus was film criticism.
